In a thousand different shades of blue

Casa Caravati, Contemporary Art Center Catamarca.2015

Creamos new version from the beginning of the process designed for the Casa Caravati Museum, an old neoclassical mansion that had numerous functions throughout its history prior to its current activity as a historical museum and contemporary art gallery. It has not been easy to adapt the construction and technical processes required by this work to the new architectural context. The Caravati house has in its exhibition room on the upper floor, two large windows with spectacular views of the Ambato and Ancasti hills, these two mountain ranges surround the city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca itself, thus enclosing the viewer's gaze in a continuous blue of sky and earth that changes tones throughout the day, now turning them green, then brown, and later violets, almost black. This special visual situation gave me the necessary keys of shape and color that the piece has once finished, alluding to the surrounding landscape with a series of transparencies generated by the fabric itself achieving_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_a good combination between the structure of the building and the installation of the sculpture.
